NewsReport Nigeria reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that it has handed over a united and stable Nigeria to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) led by President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
This online information gathered that in response to a statement by the APC, which claimed that the insurgency that the government is dealing with was passed down from the PDP-led administration.
The APC had stated that it was reacting to “false allegations by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, who lied that the Federal Government has lost control of the security situation.”
Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, responded with a statement headlined, “Stop Attacking Wike, You Compromised Security, PDP Replies APC.”
“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chastises the All Progressives Congress (APC) for attacking Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for exposing the APC’s and its administration’s failures, especially their ignoble roles in the escalation of violence, killing, and other acts of terrorism across our country,” the statement read.
“The PDP argues that Governor Wike directly articulated the minds of the majority of Nigerians across the board when he stated that the future of our country cannot be left in the hands of the APC.
“As a result, any attack on Governor Wike on this score is a direct attack on Nigerians as a whole.
“Nigerians are aware that President Goodluck Jonathan’s PDP administration handed over a united and stable country to the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari after pushing terrorists to the margins and holding elections across the country.
“The APC has not denied that terrorism resurfaced after it took power, as APC leaders opened our country to terrorists, bandits, and vandals, including those they brought in from neighboring countries as political mercenaries to aid the APC in inflicting havoc on Nigerians during elections.
“However still, Nigerians are aware of how the APC administration protected terrorism apologists in their cabinet, and how APC leaders have made cases for terrorists, asked Nigerians not to fight back in the face of aggression, and even blamed victims of terrorism, as seen in the case of 43 rice farmers beheaded by terrorists in Borno State.

“Our party is aware that the APC has been actively jeopardizing our nation’s security in order to create disorder, crisis, and emergency situations in our country for their own selfish and unpatriotic advantage. That also explains why the APC attacks well-intentioned Nigerians who want to expose their schemes. It’s hard to imagine how the APC and its government, with all the tools of governance at their disposal, could be looking helplessly and forcing our country towards chaos if the scenario in which Nigeria finds itself was not their intention.
“As Governor Wike stated, and as our party has consistently stated, Nigeria’s future cannot be put in the hands of an obtrusively incompetent, insensitive, vengeful, and violent joyful pile of failures like the APC.
“Moreover, the APC and its government have no affinity for peace; it has no one in its political den who can propose approaches for a peaceful community of people, which is why they always turn to the PDP’s product, President Goodluck Jonathan, for peacekeeping missions across Africa and elsewhere in the world. Naturally, one cannot give what one does not possess.
“It is so sad that the APC will choose everlasting self-denial as a result of its incompetence and failure to provide peace, unity, orderliness, and cohesion in our country.
“Our party wants the APC to know that, while they can silence their own members, they can’t silence well-intentioned Nigerians like Governor Wike from exposing the APC’s horrors and failures.”
