Meek Mill, an American rapper, had his stolen phone recovered by Ghanaian police.

 

Meek Mill, an American rapper also known as Robert Rihmeek Williams, reportedly lost his phone to burglars in Ghana while attending the Afronation concert.

Meek Mill is presently in Ghana performing at the Afronation concert with Burna Boy and Asake.

But it appears that his stay in the nation came to an unfortunate end because his phone was purportedly lost.

The 35-year-old reacted to the incident took to his Instagram stories on Friday.

He wrote, “They pickpocketed me for my phone.

“SMH! bring that jawn back if you got it.”

However, the Ghanaian police recovered the American rapper phone, Meek Mill, which was earlier stolen.

The development had come a few hours after he posted that he was on his way to the venue of the Afronation concert.

In a statement on Friday, the Ghana police service said the phone has been recovered.

The police also said Nuhu Sule, the suspect in the case, has been arrested.

It added that the suspect, who is better known as Ababaawa, was apprehended at his hideout in Accra.

“The police have arrested one suspect and retrieved a mobile phone that was stolen from Meek Mill, an American hip-hop artist,” the statement reads.

“The suspect Nuhu Sule alias Ababaawa was arrested Friday, December 30, 2022 at his hideout in Accra.

“He is currently in police custody and will be taken through the due process of the law.

“The victim, Meek Mill, reported his phone stolen in Accra on December 29, 2022.”
