NewsReport gathered that the 156-km Lagos — Ibadan Standard Gauge Railway, the first two-lane standard railway in West Africa and a Nigerian first railway to be built AND finished by the SAME administration since 1960, will also be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari. Building began in March 2017 and testing started in December 2020.

 

 

The Ebute Metta Station is the largest train terminal in West Africa and has 6,000 passengers. The station is known as the Mobolaji Johnson Station.

 

 

President Buhari is committed to building a modern national rail network, connecting all parts of Nigeria and promoting business, travel, tourism, trade, and national integration.
