APC caves in to “forces” and chooses indirect primary.
- Buhari cautions against imposing candidates.
The APC Presidential Nomination Form is pegged at N100m.
The cost of the nomination forms for the All Progressives Congress, or APC, has been criticized.
With a presidential ticket costing N100 million, Deji Adeyanju, an Abuja-based activist lawyer, believes the APC will encourage looting and corruption.
The party had set the price of presidential nomination forms at N100 million, Senate nomination forms at N20 million, and governorship nomination forms at N50 million.
In an interview with the activist, he inquired about the transformation that the APC promised Nigerians in 2015.According to Adeyanju, “APC fees for nomination forms are outrageous and will encourage corruption.” It is unreasonable to charge, “Senate – N20 million; Governorship – N50 million; and Presidential – N100 million.
This means everyone is going to loot and not serve. Where’s the 2015 CHANGE that was promised? “
