The DSS is not Funding the Biafra National Guard to Enforce the sit-in Order.
NewsReport gathered that the Nigerian Army has refuted claims that the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) and the Department of State Service (DSS) established and sponsored the Biafra National Guard (BNG) in order to discredit the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The “mischievous submission” was attributed to Kalu Odinakachi, according to the report.
It went on to say that “IPOB/ESN activities have clearly taken on a violent dimension.”
“This unthinkable degree of brutality is laced with propaganda and deception in order to incite emotions and elicit compassion from naïve residents in the region.”
According to the Nigerian Army, “these spineless and reckless activities intended against the same people they profess to desire to liberate, clearly reveal their wicked and directionless objective for Ndigbos.”

The Army denied that the DMI and DSS are funding BNG, saying that “realizing the futility, hollowness, and public rejection of their violent agitation, they resorted to altering the narrative in the region to galvanize local support.”
“Their crazy assertion that BNG and UGN were an overt operation by the DMI and DSS is not only ludicrous, but it also remains mostly elusive and a tactic to undermine the popular support the NA is enjoying in the ongoing exercises.”
The Nigerian Army has informed the people of the South East that it will increase its efforts to “clear the region of criminal groups posing as BNG and UGM.” As the Exercises advance, we ask members of the public to offer relevant intelligence to security services.”
