The ruler makes a brief cameo appearance to take on a special function that is appropriate for his throne as the keeper of Yorubaland and lends royalty, honor, and authority to the fantasy world.

The film tells the story of a quest for originality and one’s roots that led to the characters to question the status quo and take action in discovery of destiny.

The Ooni of Ife epitomises the source of Yoruba kingdom which historically is Ile-Ife and this plays out in the movie ‘Take Me Home’ in a thought provoking manner.

Ooni, Oba Ogunwusi is the spiritual and tradition leader of the Yoruba people now saddled with the responsibility of making supplications to God and the Òrì?à on behalf of his people.

The new movie titled ‘Take Me Home’ which was shot in the Hollywood Studios in California, United States throws light on the essence of culture and tradition of the Yorubas to the western world.

Take Me Home tells the story of an American family that gets stuck in Pandora’s box when their daughter gets possessed after wearing an African masquerade costume which was stolen during a tour in Ile-Ife. In a bid to save the life of their daughter, the entire family gets into a new can of trouble following the promises of two African immigrants.

Produced by Dotun Taylor, Take Me Home features Hollywood actors like Dave Sheridan, Amber Rivette, Felissa Rose, Meji Black and Nigerian film stars Abdullateef Adedimeji and Bayo Bankole (Boy Alinco) among others.
