The Olowo of Owo Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Owo Land,His Imperial Majesty,Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III,has expressed sadness over the unprovoked attack and killing of innocent people while worshipping at the St Francis Catholic Church along Owaluwa Street on Sunday.

 

NewsReport gathered that in a press statement issued, signed and released by his Special Assistant Media, Sam Adewale,Oba Ogunoye unequivocally condemned the dastard acts of these so called gunmen.

 

Oba Ogunoye who was deeply saddened over the unfortunate development, said that, the perpetrators without mincing words,are enemies of the people.

 

The Monarch described the attack on the people of the Kingdom as an assault on the peace and tranquility the people have enjoying over the years, saying, the Government and appropriate security agencies will rise up to the occasion by making sure these heartless persons or group are apprehended to face justice.

 

Oba Ogunoye urged the people to remain calm, just as he appealed for peace and advised them to shun any action that may snowball into taking laws into their hands.

 

His Imperial Majesty, therefore, commiserated with the people of the kingdom,the Catholic Church and particularly the families of those who lost their lives in the heartwrenching incident.
