June 12: Lagos State Police Give Assurance of Safety no stay at Home Order.
On Saturday, June 12, 2021, the Command of Lagos State Police provided Lagos citizens with the necessary security of life, property, and order as opposed to the news that the state was shut down for the celebration of June 12, Democracy day.
NewsReport gathered that the Command categorically wishes to state that normal commercial and social activities in the state take place on Saturday, 12 June 2021, since the commandment is not aware of any planned protest, or of any curfew imposed by the State Government of Lagos to warrant any sit-in at home command to the residents of Lagos.
Consequently, the command calls on public members to ignore any rumored sit-in or market lock and total economic and social activity paralysis in the State on 12 June. It is a simple misleading rumor, a premeditated try to generate concerns in Lagosians’ minds and to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the State of Lagos.
Consequently, the Police Commissioner, CP Hakeem Odumosu, calls for members of the public to undertake their legal activities since, on 12 June 2021 and beyond, police and other security agencies took the required steps towards the rule of law and order throughout the state.
While the Commissioner of Police felicitates with Lagosians on the 2021June 12 Democracy Day, he however warns those who might want to hide under the Celebration or whatever disguise to foment troubles in the state, to steer clear of Lagos State as anyone caught engaging in any act capable of causing the breakdown of law and order and jeopardizing the security system of the state will be caused to face the full wrath of the law.
