In a bid to alleviate poverty and reduce hardships in Nigeria, the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government has initiated the payment of N20,000 to vulnerable Nigerians in Cross River State. On Monday, December 25, Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, launched this significant step toward poverty reduction. Collaboration with state governments across the country demonstrates the government’s commitment to reducing poverty.

To address their specific needs, a commission has been established to handle issues concerning this vulnerable group. This demonstrates the government’s commitment to leaving no one behind in its poverty reduction efforts.
