Finally, the fate of billionaire kidnapper Evans has been decided by a court.
NewsReport gathered that Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, also known as Evans the kidnapper, was sentenced to death by a Lagos High Court on Thursday.
Evans, who was charged with kidnapping, pleaded not guilty in front of an Igbosere High Court in Lagos.
He was also charged with attempting to kidnap Mr. Vincent Obianodo, the chairman of Young Shall Grow Motors.
Other charges against him include conspiracy, kidnapping, and illegal possession of firearms.
Evans appeared in court alongside three other defendants: Joseph Emeka, Chiemeka Arinze, and Udeme Upong.
The Inspector-General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team, led by Abba Kyari, apprehended him.
Evans was declared wanted in 2013 after allegedly masterminding the attempted kidnapping of Mr Vincent Obianudo, the owner of the popular ‘Young Shall Grow Motors.’
