Abia State Gov. Banned Sales of tickets to Keke and Okada in the state during the holiday
Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, has outlawed the selling of revenue tickets to commercial motorbike and tricycle operators known as okada and Keke riders NewsReport gathered.
According to a statement made available to ABN TV by the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, this is according to a resolution reached after a meeting between Abia State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) and major stakeholders in the transport sector, including commercial tricycle (Keke) and motorcycle (Okada) operators.
He stated that the governor has directed that the selling of e-tickets on public holidays be discontinued from Monday, July 19, 2021.
He also announced the reduction of the proposed new daily e-ticket rate for commercial tricycle and motorcycle operators from N240 to N200 daily.
