Union Bank had been awarded an Exemplary Advocate for Gender Equality at the GenderLeaders Awards.

The inaugural awards ceremony, which was held in Lagos, was organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in partnership with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and aims to recognize and celebrate private sector companies and business leaders who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and efforts in advancing gender equality.

The awards served as a recognition of the significant progress made by the banks in fostering gender equity and equality within the workplace while supporting and empowering women across all walks of life.

The recognition highlighted Union Bank’s commitment to advocating for diversity within corporate organizations, cultivating an inclusive culture that values and respects every individual.

Expressing her delight at the notable recognition, Olufunmilola Aluko, Chief Brand and Marketing Officer at Union Bank, spoke on behalf of the bank during the awards ceremony.
