Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III is a significant loss to the Yoruba people- Olubadan

NewsReport gathered that the Olubadan described Alaafin as a “royal father par excellence” who “projected Yoruba culture and civilisation with awe and dignity,” adding that Yoruba had “lost an unique gem” with his departure.

“A highly intelligent, pragmatic, and dynamic monarch with an unwavering love for his race and people, Alaafin would be sadly missed by humanity for his contributions, which would speak for him in perpetuity.

“Together with the late Alaafin, we have been friends for a very long time. So his death is a personal loss for me, and it is very painful that he will no longer be present now that I have become Olubadan to share from his vast experience.

“Death is the inevitable end of mankind and it will come at Allah’s appointed time for every individual.” We take solace in the good works that the Almighty Allah used the late Alaafin to do for humanity and the good name being left behind.

“I express my condolences to the government and people of Oyo State, Oyoland, and the immediate and extended families of our highly revered Alaafin, pleading with the Almighty Allah to accept him into His kingdom and grant all the fortitude to bear the loss,” Olubadan added.
