NewsReport gathered that the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a fire at the Alakara Bus Stop in Mushin, Lagos.

 

The fire, which was reported at 13:17 a.m., prompted the Agency to mobilize additional state emergency responders to make a concentrated effort to put out the blaze.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that it is a 33,000-tonne tanker fully loaded with Premium Motor Spirit, also known as Petrol, that is on fire.

 

Although the cause of the tragedy has yet to be determined, officials from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service are keeping an eye on the situation and will offer updates as needed.

 

*Motorists are advised to seek alternative route away from the Idi Oro Corridor of Agege Motor Road, Mushin.*
