NewsReport gathered that Angel Smith, a former Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, has urged Nigerians to stop blaming Tiwa Savage for the leaked sex tape.
Angel stated in a thread on her Twitter page that the blame should be placed on the person who decided to leak the sex tape rather than Tiwa Savage’s decision to record the act.
Angel hoped that one of those responsible for the leaking of nudes would be brought to justice soon, despite the fact that it is a criminal offense.
Her tweets read: “The problem will never be the fact that someone made a sex tape or that someone took a picture naked, the problem will always lie with the person that decided to leak it. Stop victim-blaming.
“Leaking someone’s nudes is a criminal offense. I hope one of you becomes a scapegoat.”
In response to those who criticized Tiwa Savage for recording the sex tape, Angel stated that the focus should be shifted to the person who shared the video.
“No matter how many times people tell others not to record themselves, they will, and that is fine.” Divert this attention to those who believe it is acceptable to punish people for their own choices,” Angel wrote.
