Hours after Lalong Relaxes the Curfew, a UniJos Student is stabbed to Death.

A 100-level student of the University of Jos was reportedly stabbed to death by hoodlums around the permanent site of the school just hours after Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong, eased the 24-hour curfew in Jos North Local Government Area of the state.

NewsReport gathered that the event occurred at 2:30 p.m., as normal activity in the state capital were gradually returning.

Comrade Danladi Joshua Adankala, the president of the university’s Students Union Government (SUG), verified the news to journalists in Jos.

The man was allegedly dragged from a tricycle and stabbed to death, according to him.

He called the incident “unfortunate” and “unnecessary.”

“The student took a tricycle from the university’s permanent site to the main campus and was suddenly taken out and stabbed to death on the road,” he claimed.

“Our tears for justice have only resulted in more suffering, hurts, worries, sorrows, and endless lamentations.

“The state administration should make a hasty plea to the federal government to expedite the construction of perimeter fencing around our university. For students, more lodging (hostels) should be available. This will help to cut down on the amount of students who live off campus.”
