NewsReport gathered that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has approved the release of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) students detained by the Nigerian Army.
The accused were apprehended during a Nigerian Army operation in Ijagun, Odogbolu, Ogun State.
Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC’s Head of Media, announced their identities in a statement on Monday, November 1.
Azeez Hameed Busayo, Olubor Chuks Winner, Amusa Abdulhakeem, Osoko Adesola David, and Diyaolu Dan are the suspects.
Owonifari Niyi Sanwiyu, Ganiyu Olamide Sodiq, Onasanya Taiwo Adeniyi, Ajayi Muhaymin Adesola, Asenuga Ridwan Ayotomiwa, Akorede Olaleye Tope Bamgboye Tobiloba Quadri, Ayede Opeyemi Oluwaseun, Oseni Abolore Ismail, Olaniyan Mayowa Emmanuel, Akanni Qudus Olaleye, and Onasile Abiodun Sunday are among the others.
They recovered eleven automobiles, twenty-nine phones, and suspected hard narcotics. The cars are still in the Army’s possession.
According to Uwujaren, 19 of the 20 students have been charged in the continuing inquiry.
At the conclusion of the investigation, they will be charged in court, according to the spokeswoman.
