The Delta state command has made it illegal to fly or hoist the Biafran flag in any part of the state, warning that there will be consequences.

NewsReport learned that on Sunday, Delta state police PRO Bright Edafe made the declaration. Every attempt by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to sow discord in the state will be fiercely fought, he stated.

“The Command is aware of the threat posed by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), as well as their plans to parade in several sections of the state. The Delta State Commissioner of Police, who is committed to maintaining peace in the state, has encouraged state command officers and men to be on high alert, vigilant, and deal decisively with any incident.”

“As a result, the CP warns that no one in the state should be seen carrying or hoisting the Biafra flag in any form. The command is more than willing and determined to pursue any criminal who may be discovered.”

“The CP is requesting members of the public to work with the police to ensure that those who attempt to sow discord in the state and our dear nation are apprehended and prosecuted.”

“Undercover police investigators have been sent around the state with the goal of apprehending anyone caught carrying the Biafra flag and prosecuting them according to the law. Anyone who threatens the state’s peace and stability will be dealt with harshly by the command.”
