The St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, was the target of an alleged terrorist attack, according to a statement from the Nigerian military on Tuesday.

When terrorists broke into the church during Mass on June 5, 2022 and started shooting at parishioners, over 40 people died.
The attack had sparked indignation and condemnation on a global scale.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor disclosed this during a news conference at the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
