Alternative Bank Limited (AltBank) has recently made a significant announcement regarding a strategic partnership with FoodBank and Sterling One Foundation. The primary objective of this collaboration is to raise an estimated N20 million in support of hunger alleviation and educational programs. This initiative is in line with the overarching theme of the African Union Summit 2024, which revolves around the idea of “Educate and Skill Africa for the 21st Century.”
Hassan Yusuf, the Managing Director of The Alternative Bank, unveiled the details of this plan through a press release, emphasizing the upcoming AltWalk event as a crucial fundraising platform. “Through this initiative, we aim to gather contributions from both internal and external stakeholders, thereby reiterating our dedication to education and societal well-being,” mentioned Sawyer.
The fundraising campaign is set to secure N20 million, with the generated funds being allocated towards two primary objectives: providing meals for underserved communities and orphanages through the Lagos FoodBank initiative and offering quality educational support through the Sterling One Foundation.
This campaign is designed to appeal to a wide range of participants, including individuals, families, businesses, and organizations that are committed to eradicating hunger, enhancing education, promoting healthy living, and making a positive impact on society.
