Zenith Bank Data Center Fire Outbreak

Zenith Bank has had little or no banking activity in its branches across the country due to a fire outbreak at the bank’s data center.

NewsReport learned that the data center is a facility that centralizes an organization’s IT operations and equipment for the purposes of storing, processing, and disseminating data and applications. Because they house an organization’s most critical and proprietary assets, data centers are vital to the continuity of daily operations.

The bank, which boasts operations in eight countries, a bias for exceptional service delivery, and a willingness to always listen to their customers, is still battling to ensure services are back to normal.

Although the bank confirmed the fire incident on its official Facebook page, it didn’t clarify what kind of storage facility was affected.

Many customers are concerned about the unreliability of the bank, as fears for their deposited funds were expressed.

One wrote, Why is this bank always like this, having problems all the time?” I don’t know how I got into this country.

Another one: Hope nothing happened to my hard-earned money 😱

John Kennedy Jr. said, Can you imagine all the Zenith Bank branches in Kano without a network since yesterday?” Keeping people and businesses stranded

Godwin Emefiele was once the managing director of Zenith Bank in 2010, before former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan appointed him governor of the CBN in 2014.

Emefiele is currently battling his inappropriate handling of the now-restated recent naira redesign that has driven many Nigerians into extreme poverty.
