The Chicago State University has provided an explanation for why it is unable to provide details about Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, and the primary and secondary schools he attended.

According to Lauren Finch, a representative for Chicago State University, Tinubu’s academic records are protected by American privacy laws.

News Report learned Tinubu graduated from Chicago State University on June 22, 1979, earning a degree in business and administration, the university confirmed in an email to Peoples Gazette.

It reads: “We have checked with our legal department and we cannot give you more than the information we have already provided.”

“Mr Tinubu attended our school and graduated on June 22, 1979. We can only say when he came in and when he graduated.”

This online information recalls the former Lagos State Governor had claimed that unknown persons stole his school certificates during the military rule in 1990.

Tinubu stated this in an affidavit submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as part of his eligibility filings for the 2023 presidential elections.

It was gathered that documents released last Friday by the electoral umpire showed that Tinubu left the columns for his primary and secondary education unmarked.

Tinubu, however, noted that he obtained a degree in business and administration in 1979 at the Chicago State University.
