The recent passing of Mohammed Idris, the son of former Kogi State governor Ibrahim Idris, has left many in shock and mourning. Mohammed, who previously served as a member of the House of Representatives representing Ankpa, Olamaboro, and Omola Federal Constituency, tragically collapsed and passed away after observing Eid prayer at his residence in Abuja on Wednesday.

The news of his sudden death has sent shockwaves through the political community and beyond, as many remember Mohammed for his dedication to public service and his contributions to the development of his constituency. His untimely death has left a void that will be felt strongly by all who knew him.

Mohammed was buried at Abuja’s Gudu Cemetery in accordance with Islamic traditions after his death. A funeral prayer was held at the National Mosque in Abuja, attended by a large crowd of mourners who came to pay their respects and say goodbye to a beloved figure.

As we mourn the loss of Mohammed Idris, we also reflect on the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing each moment we have with our loved ones. His legacy of service and dedication to his community will not be forgotten, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him.
