Recall to the incidence that happened at Lekki Toll Gate followed by the EndSars Protesters.Seun Anikulapo Kuti the afro beat musician as rolled out a new movement, named “POWER MIC” in other to renew socio-political activist.
NewsReport Nigeria gathered that in a discussion at the urban Bistro in Lagos, the initiative launched its key action points to tilt towards achieving “dialogue, solidarity and action from the people” in respect to their socio-political welfare.
Power Mic initiative, which is supported by Naija Resistance Movement and Movement of the People, has other notable celebrities, including Vector, Sheni Ajayi and Falz.
This on-line information learnt that the afro beat musician Seun Kuti listed the agenda of the initiative to include bridging the engagement gap between youths across the professional and artisans spaces to create room for dialogue.
“Finally, taking the message of liberation to the people and getting them to gain the political education they need to engage positively, as well as organise themselves to become politically aware and active citizens that participate in governance processes within the confines of the law as much as possible.”
The EndSARS protests were held in a style described as one of the most peaceful protests ever held in Nigeria. Spanning about three weeks, agitated citizens took to the streets to protest against Police brutality.
