Ahmad Babba Kaita, who represents them at the Senate, was humiliated by the enraged angry youths and citizens of Katsina North Central district on Saturday.

“This thing has two or three problems. This is how people protesting against him understand the action. First, it’s a party man, you know. Under APC, he was elected. He was sponsored by his party. For the party, he did nothing. In any event, he doesn’t think about the party or anything he does. That’s just one thing.
“Two, within the party, he has no excellent friendship or relationship. The governor and elders in the other areas have no good ties. The governor and the elders are too big for him. That’s the second question.
“The last is that he doesn’t think about young people. He doesn’t carry them with him. He utilizes and throws them away. And some others believe that Saturday’s tragedy was sponsored. It was not planned beforehand. He went there and booed himself, not only by the young but with others, for his friend’s daughter’s marriage.
“On Saturday, at 14:00, the event took place at Mashi Local Government area. He was present for the marriage of Alhaji Mannir Ibrahim Talba, the daughter of the Permanent Secretary of Trade and Industry. He is his friend. He’s his pal. He was a former commissioner on the platform of the PDP. He was booed here in Mashi at Katsina’s palace,” he claimed.
Sunkuntumi described the events before the shameful event on Saturday and claimed that Kaita was also an ambition as Katsina’s next Governor, who had served the House of Representatives since he had been a member of the delayed Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011.

“He has the ambition and disregarded his area for the Governor’s job. You must respect human beings. You must take those who voted for you with you. He’s got pride, however. He cannot accomplish that. That he cannot do. So he comes in the middle of the night most of the time, going early in the morning,” he continued.
