Orlando Julius, a veteran highlife musician, died at the age of 79.

Orlando Julius Olusanya Ekemode, also known as Orlando Julius, a veteran Highlife musician, was confirmed dead in the early hours of Thursday.

Evergreen Music’s managing director, Bimbo Esho, confirmed the news on Facebook.

It was learned that the saxophonist, a native of Ijebu Ijesha in Osun state, died around 3 a.m. at the age of 79.

Pa Ekemode, a well-known international artist, will be remembered for a number of famous songs, including Jagur Nana and Ololufe, to name a few.
