President Muhammadu Buhari is set to formally unveil the Nigerian Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), also known as the eNaira, on Monday, October 25, 2021, at the State House in Abuja, NewsReport gathered

According to a letter signed by the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Director of Corporate Communications, Osita Nwanisobi, the digital currency will be launched with the theme “Same Naira, More Possibilities” and will aim to “advance the boundaries of payments in order to make transactions easy and seamless for all strata of society.”
