IPOB: Muoka Implores FG to free Kanu.
Pastor Lazarus Muoka, the general overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, has pleaded with President Bola Tinubu to free Nnamdi Kanu, the imprisoned leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in the name of peace and reconciliation.
NewsReport Nigeria reports that during the two-day Holy Ghost international crusade, which had as its theme “God That Does What No Man Can Do,” the clergyman made an appeal yesterday at the church’s headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos. He emphasized that Kanu’s release and the President’s intervention would bring about calm in the area.
Muoka said: “For peace to reign and for us to have peace in that part of the country where there is insecurity as a result of Kanu’s continued incarceration, I pray that God will touch the Federal Government to release him so that we will have peace, progress, and unity in the region.”

The General Overseer also pleaded with the Federal Government to fix the dilapidated Ijesha Bridge, which collapsed two years ago without intervention from any quarter.
Lamenting that lives have been lost due to the bad bridge, Muoka said: “That footbridge is strategic because many people make use of it daily. Since it went bad, it has exposed a lot of users to danger. People going to Ijesha make use of that bridge; likewise, people going to FESTAC, including our members and members of other churches around here, Meanwhile, the former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, has commended the church for the work that God is using its General Overseer, Muoka, and his wife, as well as the congregation, to do.
Gowon, who was the special guest at the programme, said: “The church has been a beacon of hope, spiritual enlightenment, and exemplary service to our nation. It is my sincere belief that your dedication, commitment, and unwavering faith have touched lives, and I am inspired by your relentless pursuit of spreading God’s divine message.”
