NewsReport gathered that on 2 February 2022, troops of the 4 Brigade Nigerian Army (NA) acting on credible intelligence apprehended three kidnappers believed to be members of the notorious kidnap and robbery gang terrorizing the busy Auchi-Benin road in Edo state. On their nefarious operation along the axis, the kidnappers met their doom. They were out of luck, however, as the vigilant troops swooped down on them, engaging them in a gunfight that resulted in the deaths of three members of the gang, while others fled in various directions.
One AK 47 rifle, one Pump Action Shotgun, and other dangerous weapons were recovered by the brave troops.
Meanwhile, efforts are being made.
