HURIWA Demands Lai Mohammed’s Removal and Prosecution in the Lekki Massacre
THE Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has demanded that Nigerian Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed be fired, arrested, and prosecuted for lying to Nigerians about the killing of unarmed #EndSARS protesters at Lekki Toll Gate.
According to HURIWA, if President Muhammadu Buhari does not punish the minister, he will be remembered as a dictator who oversaw the massacre of young Nigerian protesters NewsReport gathered.
It went on to say that future generations would never forgive the president if he spared Mohammed.HURIWA likened the minister’s action to a denial of the Holocaust, the killing of six million Jews by Adolf Hitler.
“We are asking the President Muhammadu Buhari to order the arrest and prosecution of his minister of information, Lai Mohammed for committing a grave and heartless offense that is equivalent to the denial of the Holocaust of the six million Jews by Adolf Hitler which is punishable by nearly half a century of incarceration,” the group said in the statement.
