Fidelity Bank Plc recently expressed its admiration for Air Peace’s outstanding performance since the airline began flight operations nearly a decade ago. Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Plc, expressed this appreciation during a special event held in Lagos over the weekend to honor Air Peace for reaching a significant milestone by launching direct flights from Lagos to London.
During the event, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, who also served as the host, highlighted Air Peace’s commitment to financial discipline and good corporate governance since its inception. She emphasized the airline’s loyalty to Fidelity Bank and expressed the bank’s pride in having Air Peace as one of its key clients from the early stages of the airline’s operations. Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe further noted that the bank was celebrating Air Peace’s accomplishment of introducing direct flight services to London and anticipated the airline’s future developments with enthusiasm.
The event took place at the Civic Center in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was attended by various bank Managing Directors, stakeholders in the aviation sector, media personalities, and well-wishers of both brands.
Dr. Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, expressed his gratitude at the event, acknowledging the challenges the airline had overcome to reach its current status. He thanked the flying public, aviation stakeholders, the media, and the government for their unwavering support since Air Peace’s establishment in 2014. Dr. Allen Onyema specifically recognized the significant role played by Engr. Ben Adeyileka, the former Acting Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), in assisting the airline in obtaining its Airline Operator Certificate (AOC).
In his remarks, Dr. Allen Onyema praised Fidelity Bank for its consistent support and emphasized the bank’s contribution to Air Peace’s success story.
