Deborah Yakubu- Islam forbids the killing of innocent people. -Jangebe Imam, Zamfara

NewsReport gathered that Sheikh Sani Tukur Jangebe, the Zamfara State Commissioner for Religious Affairs and the Chief Imam of the Muslims Foundation mosque, has condemned the lynching and horrible death of Deborah Samuel, a lecturer at the Sokoto State College of Education.

The Islamic preacher urged Muslims to follow Islam’s teachings and lessons, claiming that while the prophet Mohammed was subjected to numerous insults and humiliations, he did not order the assassination of his foes.

He claimed that making such regulations is a terrible sin for any Muslim, saying that Allah did not command such an Islamic prohibition.

While delivering his Friday sermon, the Muslim cleric asked the faithful to always obey the injunctions of the Islamic teachings so that Allah would divinely intervene in the current security challenges being faced by the State.
