The Frenchman’s contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of the month, but it initially looked likely that he would agree on an extension and stay put in West London.

Kante, 32, joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2016 after helping the Foxes to their shock Premier League title win.

He then played a key role as the Blues won the title during his first season in London and became a key player for the club during his seven-year stay.

In total, the France international has made 269 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, winning six trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.

It is also claimed that Kante will also benefit from additional earnings on top of his salary from image rights and commercial deals.

The former Leicester man will join Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Saudi Pro League, with the latter having also agreed to sign for Al-Ittihad when his contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the month.
