He said many Nigerians abroad were unable to send money to their relatives because of the multiple exchange rates. All that has become a thing of the past, said President Bola Tinubu.

“Then the financial system was rotten. Few people make bags of our money, and then you yourself stopped sending money home to our poor parents. Several windows… but that is gone now.
 

“The man is in the hands of authorities; something is being done about that; they will sort themselves out.”

If given Bail, Emefiele Might Pose a Flight Risk.

 

Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, will leave the country if granted bail, according to a statement made before the Federal Capital Territory High Court on Tuesday by the Department of State Services.

 

The Attorney General of the Federation also supported the argument of the DSS, describing Godwin Emefiele as a “flight risk.”.

 

The former head of the apex bank is challenging his detention by the DSS, which denies him seeing his family members and lawyers.
