The Lagos State Police Command arrested two protesters at the Lekki tollgate, where the state’s #EndSARS Memorial Protest is scheduled to take place today NewsReport gathered.
One of those detained claimed to be a journalist, and the other was seen holding a placard.
Approximately 30 police trucks and armed personnel are currently stationed at the tollgate to enforce a police command-issued ban on protests.
A car procession in memory of those believed to have died at the tollgate when soldiers dispersed #EndSARS protesters on October 20, 2020, is scheduled to take place today at the tollgate.
