Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret.) received South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the Presidential Villa in Abuja NewsReport gathered.

On Wednesday, Ramaphosa arrived at the Villa around 10 a.m. and was greeted by Buhari. Following that, he inspected a guard of honor and was saluted with a 21-gun salute.

His visit to the Villa comes just hours after the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the first three cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in Nigeria, tying them to South African passengers.
