Atiku: “Peter Obi is stepping down for me,” Kenneth Okonkwo responded.

Atiku Abubakar’s statement has prompted a response from Peter Obi’s spokesperson, Kenneth Okonkwo, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP).

NewsReport gathered that, the former vice president revealed that he is in talks with Peter Obi, the LP’s presidential candidate, and said it’s likely that Obi may give up his bid for the presidency in exchange for him.

Reacting to the statement on Tuesday night, the actor-turned-politician via his Twitter handle urged the public to disregard the claims of Atiku, adding that the former vice president should be the one to do the honorable thing of stepping down for the LP flag bearer after admitting publicly of using SPVs to siphon Nigeria’s money.

He said, “It’s gratifying to hear that Atiku is considering stepping down for @PeterObi in the presidential race.” On the heels of Atiku’s confession of using SPVs to siphon Nigerian money, according to Michael Achimugu, this is the wisest thing for him to do.

“This is the only way the talk he is initiating can make sense.” Please disregard any other claims made by the lying PDP because the only honorable thing Atiku can do is unconditionally step down to allow @PeterObi to usher in a new Nigeria.
