Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s former aviation minister, has denied rumours that he is leaving the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

News Report that on Monday, July 25, the politician stated unequivocally via his verified Twitter handle that any information not coming from him or his official social media handles should be ignored.

“Reports that I quit @OfficialAPCNg are false. “Any declaration about my political affiliation that does not come directly from me or through my verified social media channels is false,” he tweeted.

According to this web information, Fani-Kayode defected from the country’s main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in September 2021.

The lawyer was led to meet President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa by the then Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the APC, Governor Mai Mala Buni and Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State.

According to the former minister, he was led by the Spirit of God in his decision and he joined the APC to help the unity of the country.

In one of his claims, Fani-Kayode said he joined a forward-thinking and accommodating party. He stressed that the APC he joined was different from the one he heavily criticized in the past.

When asked during an interview with Channels Tv months ago if he decamped to APC for financial gain, Fani-Kayode said: “I find that very insulting whether it is coming from you or my critics, I am not the first person that would decamp to the APC, have you asked others this same question?
