BREAKING: Lagos accuses ASP Vandi of murder in the killing of a Lagos lawyer.

A one-count charge of unlawful killing has been brought against Drambi Vandi, an assistant superintendent of police, by the attorney general for the state of Lagos, Moyosore Onigbanjo, in connection with the death of Bolanle Raheem.

The accusation was made Friday at the Yaba, Lagos, magistrate’s court.

ASP Vandi was brought before Adeola Olatunbosun, chief magistrate, who remanded him in prison.

“That you ASP DRAMBI VANDI (M) on the 25th day of December 2022 at Ajah Round About along Lekki-Epe Express Way, Lagos within the Lagos State Magisterial District unlawfully killed one OMOBOLANLE RAHEEM (F) by shooting the deceased in the chest contrary to Section 223 of the Criminal Law Ch. C17 Vol. 3 Laws of Lagos State, 2015,” the charge sheet reads.
